Hey forum, I'm recently getting back into growing my Facebook fan page which i abandoned at 700 likes about a year ago, a decision i now regret because it was doing very well (up to 60 likes per post) compared to other pages with the same amount of likes. My main method of accumulating likes right now is commenting on other pages which brings me to my question, can commenting and asking people to check out my page get me banned? Does it violate any Facebook rules? What are some noob mistakes that get pages banned? Sorry for so many questions, ive read of pages getting banned for practically no reason so im just trying to play it safe.

Not going to get you banned from FB.If they report too much of your comment as spam. That can get you blocked from commenting. Most of the time the page owners/like me/ will delete your comment and ban you from the page.
Only solution if your comment is somehow related to the post.Begging for likes : instant ban from the page with spam report :)

It is unlikely you will get banned, though it's against Facebook policies (Comes under 'Spamming').

There are countless mistakes, and not worth mentioning, just don't go reckless on bringing likes.

Thirdly, a lot has changed with FB pages in past one year - The organic reach is nearly 0% now, and your posts are not likely to get that many number of likes again. Still, there are ways of monetizing pages, browse through forum and you will find them.

You'll just get blocked off the page that you're commenting on.

You definitely won't get banned unless it's in crazy excess.

No, this will not block your fb page or account but you will surely get marked as spammer and blocked from the page on which you are commenting.
