Hey,
With facebook fan pages only a percentage of the fans will received your status updates, i cant remember the figure i think its around 12% of the top of my head.
But with twitter, will a tweet reach all the followers or like fanpages only reach a certain percentage?

In theory it will "reach" all your followers, yes. But realistically, it wont. Its only going to get seen if your followers are online when you tweet, or if they go directly to your page. Impossible to put a percentage on it because of so many varying factors (when you tweet, when followers are online, both constantly change). Also the more people your followers follow, the less likely your tweet will be seen, as they'll have so many tweets flooding through their news feed. Unless they use lists, of course.

As stated many factors play a role in who sees your tweets, BUT and this is a big one! Your tweets actually have the possibility to reach more than just your followers. Using a Chrome extension called SocialBro you can gather a few different types of data that most sites dont show. One being an total active followers which with the free version you can only gather stats of upto 100 of your users at a time but if those 100 users have thousands of followers and they are retweeting your tweets and sharing your name the chances of total followers goes up dramatically.

I guess I should have told you I do have 25k followers but what that means is with those 78 active followers, you have the potential to outreach to 1.2million total twitter users. Im thinking about buying a license for one account and seeing what the numbers look like with all my followers being factored in. Again that is if you are getting hundreds/thousands of retweets so content is key in the twitter world. On my music links I average 37 clicks on each link and thats just one tweet.

So if you have 100k followers and send a tweet out, it will appear on all 100k followers feed?
Because as with facebook thats not the case you could have 100k fans on there, send a status out, and it only be displayed to 10-15k fans instead of all of them.

Short answer, yes, it will. But as stated above, whether it gets seen or not is another matter.

But if all your followers are online, and looking at the feed at the exact time you tweet, then yes, all of them will see it.

I have been wondering this also! With facebook it doesnt matter if they are online or not when you send out a status, it just wont go to most of there news feeds.

Twitter is much more powerful than Facebook, using the hash tag tool you can get so much more traffic,
