I'm getting a late start for the Christmas season & would like to get some sales in
and products shipped before the Christmas season ends.

If i use print on demand suppliers based is the usa with $200 will that be enough money
to get things started or would i need a lot more.

I was thinking of using etsy to sell my products & then have printful for my supplier but i was told
they hold back the suppliers money when you'r a new seller to protect the buyers.

Are there similar sites like etsy, say shopify that would not put a long hold on the suppliers money
that would enable me to get the funds to my supplier sooner & the product shipped.

Well 200 $ is not enough for dropshipping that's for sure.

Shopify payments are now supported by Stripe so they shouldn't hold anything.. At least Stripe is definitely above all other payment gateways and they pay out once in every 24 hours if i remember correctly. So if you are eligible for Stripe you shouldn't run into cash flow issues... Just the 200$ might not get you very far if you dont have any experience you will burn it fast.

Just create your shirts with Print, make a own website or upload them to eBay, etsy or Amazon.

The most expenses will be for marketing tho.

It depends where you sell it... Amazon Merch may be your best bet

Stripe pays two days after a sale unless sale is on a Thursday then you get paid on Monday. Plus Stripe has a lousy program regarding chargebacks on disputed purchases. If someone disputes a transaction they deduct the transaction amount plus $15.00 and then you must supply proper documentation proving the sale was legit. This can take 8 weeks plus to resolve. The Gateway Square is better, it pays out the next day and has a $250.00 protection policy on purchases on any disputed transactions. So they do not deduct your funds while the transaction is being investigated.
