how would they? i am not selling a book of it or anything, it is just some useful articles to fill my website with and get some traffic before i start affiliating products. i don't think if someone read the article will go search to find similar sources.

Google will surely rank Wikipedia higher than your site if you don't rewrite just copy paste the article even it is not good for your site's SEO as well. Rewrite it my friend, there is a huge difference between writing and rewriting. While writing you have to put your ideas while rewriting you have to make look a little different.

How r u planning to get the traffic? If you are planning to get the traffic from other sources except search engines, then I think it is fine, except the fact that if anyhow the readers find this it may make a bad impression. But if u r planning to get traffic from search engines, it is not going to work.

I don't think than there will be issue if you are copying some content from Wikipedia... it is usual, most of the time people refer Wikipedia for small paragraphs but yea you can write it... I am not expert in SEO but I think if you qoute Wikipedia than it means you have put some research effort in your article.

    Good luck

If you go to the bottom of wikipedia, you will clearly see that it is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License. This states

    with restrictions:

In a nutshell, this means that if you copy something from wikipedia, you should place a link of the particular article you copied. This link has to be clearly visible to the readers.
