    Hi,

Seems that google is owner from Wikipedia and they have share's from Coca Cola.

I just did a search on:

    Seven Eleven (google.nl)

    And....

Nr 2, 3, 4, and 5 in results are YESS Wikipedia, 6 is myspace, 7...

    Search keyword

My doughter wanted to now something about "Cola" for school:

Search keyword "Cola" (NOT COCA COLA, just Cola)

    Number 1 (sure cocacola.nl)

Number 2 and 3, YESS Wikipedia, #4, 5 and 6 are big Dutch newssite 7 and 8 are off coca cola site's and 10 is facebook.

My doughter (12 years old) wanted to now a lot of cola for school, she had to tell the class how bad it is for your healt, google did NOT help her!!!

Just wanted to let you now....

(Note: she did not google Coca Cola, the exact search was Cola)

Google has displayed Wikipedia listings to so many users that the people would have to be utter retards to not know by domain name where to go for an encyclopedia description or definition. The same applies for buying shit on Amazon, eBay and some select others that Google adores.

The whole purpose of a search product is to help people find something they otherwise would not find. Constant Wikipedia, Amazon, eBay listings (many with domain crowding) sitting on the top of the serps is an absolute failure on Google's part. Only complete and utter noobs, possibly found shipwrecked on an island for 20 years or aliens from another planet, are the only ones that don't know who Wikipedia, Amazon and eBay are.

Google can continue butt pumping their Internet Association friends in the serps, but people are leaving Google and their thin ass/domain crowded results for something better.

It is getting pretty silly.. I also love how my queries are 'corrected' to the point of giving me back irrelevant results. Quality of G search going down the drain.

Maybe you should teach or help your daughter then instead of crying out here? What about searching for 'Cola is not healthy' or something similar.

And what a surprise that Coca Cola ranks for Cola, thats how Google works....

3: Iam not crying i just wanted to share the last results from google and how google's results are these days
4: Yes it is a surprise that only Cocal Cola is in the top 10, you never have seen Pepsi or other brands or do they only have Coca Cola on Cayman Islands?

Coca Cola is a bigger and better brand then Pepsi and other brand HENCE they rank better on the term Cola, WHAT A SURPRISE AGAIN, thats how Google works. Theres a better risk of people wanting to have a Coca Cola than a Pepsi Cola... WAIT is Pepsi even called Pepsi Cola, OH ITS NOT, HENCE they dont have the same chance of ranking good on Cola as Coca Cola has.

WHAT a surprise that a non-profit site like wikipedia ranks on such a term when they have millions and millions of backlinks. OHH root pr of wikipedia is actually 9, wiered that they can actually rank on page 1 then, very wiered.

Im not telling you what you have to teach your daughter....................

PS: LATEST RESEARCH HAVE SHOWN THAT HUMAN KIND ARE GETTING BETTER AND MORE ADVANCED AT USING GOOGLE. Back in the days we used 1 word, now we use many words, guess youre stuck in the generation who still uses 1 word to search with.

Wrong again, Pepsi is a bigger brand then Coca Cola, do your math and take a look in the "numbers"

Use your brain. When people link to Coca Cola theres Cola in the link, is there cola in the link if you link to Pepsi?

I was confused when my commercial top entered wiki, I was pretty strong there, but in two mnths it freezed at 1-st position, still stands there now. In year top got saturated with edus, govs, only 3 of 10 were commercial.
I went into smaller keys, but wiki and other sh*t came there too, wtf. Now I am only dealing with keys such as "buy ...", I will be shocked if see wiki here.

If you have the slightest idea how google works, you'll realize why coca cola and those other websites are ranking for cola. Google runs on an algorithm. I mean if google was a person, certainly you could see pepsi in top 10 but that's not how it works.

You won't find google in top 10 for the term "search engine". But you know it's a search engine. That's just how it works. It's not optimized for that term.

Yeah google's serp quality may be degrading but "cola" is not the best example.

Also, searching for "cola" and hoping to find information on why it's bad for health is really naive I'd say.
