wifi hotspot help..

    lets get start first of first my laptop is a old piece of trash call "latitude D610,Microsoft Windows XP Professional" the problem im having is that everytime i try to turn this peice of shit laptop to a wifi hotspot it wont allow me i have tryed all the free programs that allow window xp to turn to a hotspot and none of them work if you guys can recommend me a program that can turn my old laptop andto a wifi hotspot be much thanks.

    You don't need any "program", you need a driver for your wifi card. Google "Dell latitude D610 wifi driver", download it, install, restart. After that windows should find your wifi device.

    my wifi work fine mate but what i need is to turn this laptop to a wifi hotspot for my other devices

    Sorry I misunderstood your question. I dont think what you want is possible (but maybe I'm wrong). Just buy some cheap wifi router instead, it will be much easier to set up.

    This. Occasionally I share my connection over WiFi from my Mac to my phone, but if I had any other need than to update the phone software/had multiple devices I'd get a real router - it's simply not worth the tinkering.

    lets say im borrowing my neighbor internet and im need my laptop to turn to a wifi hotspot so the range can increase.
