    Hi!

With this thread, I would like to better understand the way Youtube works.

I had a look on Youtube analytics of my channel and saw that a video with more views got less earnings that one with much fewer views, which is not very logical.

I have to point out that the the audience of the one with more views comes in majority from Reddit whereas I did not share the other anywhere.

My first suspect would be Reddit. Maybe they block the ads.

Thank you in advance for your help!

It can be a number of different things. Countries can have a huge effect on the price you get per click. A click from someone in a third world country isn't going to be worth the same as one from the United States.
Secondly, the ad itself can have different values based on the keyword. The cheaper click may have been an advertisement for a clothing company where as the other click might have been for something more valuable like a local lawyer. Obviously lawyers are willing to pay more per click than a clothing company is.
Also, the amount of views isn't quite high enough to analyze. You might have been unlucky only getting one click out of 442 views or maybe you got lucky getting a click on the one that only had 19 views. Wait a few days and you might see that the second video balances out closer the the same stats as the first video or vice versa. Do you understand any better now?

YouTube works mysterious ways but normally.
But what kind of Ads you use . (Overlay Ads or TrueView Ads)

In TrueView in stream Ads, per click ratio stays almost the same.
So if you have 10 clicks, you'll approximately make around (.05x10) = .50
But if you are using Overlay Ads, there's seems to be more competition.
With 10 clicks you can make .20 and even $20.

As far as clicks go, it depends on quality and type of ads running with your video.
For example if your video is about gaming. A gaming Ad would generate more clicks then an insurance Ad.

I get around 13,000 views to my videos daily, my clicks, price change everyday with same or more views.

Good Luck and keep uploading more quality videos.
But it got very hard now a days to make good money with YouTube, its just too crowded.
