Ok sorry for the hostile beggining of that there, I just got really aggravated today when surfing through your forum.

I noticed that you have this feature where someones post from before comes up later after other peoples posts... so say I post, then someone else posts, well alot of times that persons post comes up before my post...

So say someone post something, sometimes I don't see it because I'm thinking that whole area of the thread is gone and over with, then I scroll back and find out that someone said something I would of liked to have taken notice of....

Also, I've been here for long enough now, you almost always approve my posts without even looking at it really by now... so why not just let me into the system so I can post!!! Why do I have to keep playing this stupid game of 'waiting for approval'

You should set the feature so you can just let people in once they've been posting quality for awhile.... I'm not going to attack this forum because I love it and I love the sharing and open mindedness here... but don't tempt me ;)

anyways there needs to be change, thats all I'm saying.

Hey, sorry buddy. I'm not sure why, but 1/2 of your posts are requiring moderation, and the other half aren't and are posting normally.. It's definitely something that needs to be looked at. Also, I think I'm the only one moderating threads & posts lately, so be patient with me!

I also agree with your complaint regarding moving past the "moderation" phase. I wish the system was more update, in that it would auto-remove people from moderation after 1-2 months or 40-50 (quality) posts. It's probably more difficult to modify than I'm assuming though.

You've been here way past long enough, you shouldn't have to go through that any more. I'll contact Luther and see what we can do.

I went through that, it was annoying. I thought it was a 'probationary' period to see if the person could be left unmodded.

What is It I need to pass the probationary period anyways? A certain amount of reps, a certain amount of posts, thanks, or what?

As an experienced vBulletin ADMIN, I will tell you that there are gremlins even in the great software the vBulletin is!

They will pop up sometimes and then go back into their holes and not even tell you why!

Also I found on a couple of my own forums that if two members happen to post at the same time, even if they are posting on different threads, weird stuff can happen; posts getting out of order, etc.

I also know that running a forum like this one is one ton of work so I say "Hats off to ADMIN and MODS!"

It is always a good thing to let ADMIN know when there is a glitch as glitches seem to grow like weeds if not caught in time!

    LOL!

I once had a vBulletin forum that had some little glitch in the upload of the software (Not virus induced, by the way!) which sort of melted down over about a week; losing one function at a time until it only showed the home page!

Never did figure out what caused that one!

Hey thanks for looking out man,

Also for your own sakes I think you should loosen it up and start letting people through in a more eased fashion so you don't have to police us who are obviously here to stay and participate legitimately, so you can really work on keeping a eye on newbs (sorry newbs :p )

I mean if I wanted to say 'great post' 'thanks for the share', or 'I have one million email leads to sell you guys right now' I'd be doing it at this point and so would probably alot of others you're getting tired of keeping your eye on. Remember we active members always have the option of reporting someone who slips past you fairly easy, but I think with more of a outlook on it like a 'probationary' period you won't need that much.

Also don't worry about the donor thing, I'll be happy to donate to this forum regardless, but the whole suffer unless you pay trick just isn't very impressive. I mean the whole private sections part is enough for me to donate... also why not make it open donations? Let people buy a membership to get access to private but also make a simple donation option just for the love :)

I bet there's money in that for ya'll. Lol, allow them to give you more and I bet overtime it'll happen. just my 2 cents.

Agreed +rep given. There are so many thank you's I think people forgot about rep. I don't give thank you's (actually I did once), I give rep instead. If someone made a post you are happy with you might as well give rep. If anything rep is a thank you but it gives access to more features.

Yeah, the thing is I get how they're trying to replace the 'thank you's' with the 'thanks for sharing posts' but overall they're useless it seems, and it makes it a bitch for someone like me who'd like to convert all those thank you's to +reps so I don't have to keep waiting for my post to be approved.

Just tell the newbs they can't do that and delete those posts, none of these useless thank you's.

Hey I hate to be a forum spoiler but again I was thinking away and I realized... Well with the rep if thats all that is going to determine a users value, they can simply create junk accounts and and rep up a id until they get it wherever they want it.

I seriously hope my words are taken under consideration, I just think we need to think things over a little here. Mod observation and a time period should be enough to determine whether the individual is worthy of partaking in all the enjoyments of the forum, not forcing us to result to BH on our sacred BHW forum simply for survival purposes.... Of course I won't, because thats how I feel about this forum, thats why I'm trying to be honest about it all. Hopefully you'll hear me so poor ol' clix doesn't have to keep reading all these decent posters over and over and clicking 'approve, approve, approve' like a scriptlance captcha filler :p
