It's not my title but that of a Malcolm Coles. Thought this blog post might interest those (like me who uses it every day!) using Google Keyword Tool...

As I can't post the link just search using the title which takes you to the article.
Question is, what IS the default keyword tool to use if many of the products out there use the Google keyword tool?

    Quick Overview

Apparently, there can be discrepancies in the search volumes depending upon whether you are logged in or not when using G's keyword tool.

I thought this might have been related to local searches but the examples given are for global searches.

Exact searches are not given by G, only an estimation which tends to be inflated. Author makes reference to adwords panels on parked domains as showing as searches, which I'm not quite sure I understand!

Article then directs you to an "awesome keyword tool."

Actually it has been the topic of discussion in BHW,
and although maybe not a specific thread, use your serach button,
    and look in the lounge.
