While this does not apply to xrumer profile backlinks, in terms of scrapebox backlinks, if you think about it most of the auto approve blogs you post to are spammed to death anyway. If you grant that assumption, then it is likely a small portion of the large amount of your fellow scrapeboxers who spammed the blog before or will spam after you, probably have pinged their backlinks. This would cause the crawler to inherently find your site when the backlink is pinged and therefore index it. So that seems to me another logical reason to not even bother with pinging your backlinks yourselves.

I've never pinged comments. The very first time I ever commented on a load manually I noticed that a lot were in YSE after a matter of hours. I just assumed they'd all follow suit and never actually thought to recheck that assumption.

blogs that get lots of comments are visited by bots regularly anyway. Let the bots find them naturally. Although really spammed blogs will always be pinged by one of the spammers, usually by alot of them, so "naturally" is not possible . Call me paranoid but if your link back appears on a really spammed blogged and gets pinged 40 times daily, it could end up being a negative for you. I know if I was a big internationally renowned search engine I would be watching overly pinged blog comments and wonder what is going on there.
