Why would someone be redirecting their pages to a page on my site?

I was checking one of my pages (of an older site) in ahrefs and I noticed that there are two redirects to this page from two different domains. Both of them seem to have content on the site (and one of them is sort of niche related), but they both are redirecting a page to my site. So for example if you go to: theirsite.com it's still live and it's their content, but if you go to theirsite.com/sjhk it redirects to the page on my site. Anyone know what's up with this?

Its really weird. the only reason I can think of , is he is blasting that link with thousands of Spammy links and then passing all the link juice to your page...Negative SEO....!

Is it possible they think there is content worth linking to on your site?
Maybe they are using something like "affiliate link cloaker" for WP to hide external links for some reason. That could show as a redirect in ahrefs (depending if its set to 301 or 302 though I guess)

the neg seo thing sounds unlikely. why use a redirect and not link direct to you.

They probably just randomly picked your website for cloaking purposes

To get a PR boost maybe. If your page has PR redirecting will get the PR on that specific page.

i dont see any problem in it. its kinda weird but it dont harm in any case to the site which is redirected. in principle the first page get all the panalties and de-indexing not the one where the traffic is re-directed. this type of stratagies have been observed in click jacking purpose where one has taken a good page from another website and shown inside in iFrames of their own website pages to get the traffic and then offer any CPA.
i believe in your case the owner of other website had tried the same method and forget to delete this dummy page after that.

This is the only reasonable explanation offered in this entire thread.

Thanks for all of your replies, and keep them coming if there are other theories out there!

I had actually thought about the affiliate link cloaking thing, but there's no affiliate program for the products on this page. And yes, it is quality content worth linking to, it just seems like a weird way to link to it. It might be that PR trick someone is trying, and like zeetee said they could have just for got to delete it.

The page does have PR, I wouldn't think that it would be in any danger, but if there are any steps to protect it from leaking linkjuice, how could I protect against that?

What's the purpose of that, what are they cloaking or looking to gain by doing this?

They have a redirect script that shows your page when search engines come to it, and something completely different (not search engine friendly) for human visitors. Correct me if I'm wrong MrBlackJack.

It's shows my site to me, so it should be showing it to all human visitors as well (unless they've got some country based ip thing setup).
