Today I got a click for more than 40 euro (I don't want to say exact number).
Anybody could explain why it is so expensive?
Usually I get around 0.5 euro per click.

Maybe google tracks what the person did after click? I mean maybe he bought something?

Some clicks are even more expensive. Your 50 Cent average is pretty good, too.

My niche is travel. I write about cities, countries. Also tips how to find cheap flights, hotels and etc.

Maybe someone bought a hotel via my page? I am interested in if google tracks it. Because it's difficult to believe that someone would pay such a price for just a click

I found the answer. Adwords has "Cost-per-acquisition (CPA) bidding" (Cost-per-acquisition (CPA) bidding is a bidding method that lets you tell AdWords the amount you're willing to pay for a conversion.)

I mean it's not that shocking. Lawyer and mesothelioma stuff goes for $70+.

I never had a $40 click, but I have gotten some $10+ that have been surprising.
