Why so many domains have their whois info stripped?

Ok lately i noticed that LOTS of domains have just that tiny info in their whois
    "
    Registrant:
    something Inc.

    Registered through: GoDaddy.com, Inc. (http://www.godaddy.com)
    Domain Name: someodmain.COM

    Domain servers in listed order:
    NS61.somens.COM
    NS62.somens.COM"
    "

No names, no address, no phones even if it was whois protected would be better, since there is email forwarding to the real one.

But that way it's impossible to get in touch with the owner

isn't that against the ICANN regulations, where they want you to keep up to date contact information?

I don't know why this happens either, but I do know if it's a GD domain, by going to wh0.g0daddy.c0m, you can view the full whois information unless it has a privacy block on it.

Same goes with En0m at wh0is.en0m.c0m

    Hope that helps

many people or companies don't want to reveal personal details to protect their privacy so even some whithat sites choose to hide whois info
