Why people use short urls with twitter and not the real site'` url
Cause you only get to send 160 characters in a tweet. Shorting it up allows you to write more.
Because when you have less than 140 characters to work with, including a site URL often takes up a good chunk of that. It's much more efficient to have a short URL so you got space for your msg that accompanies it.
Also... many of the tiny url services provide those using it with little extras like click tracking and stats etc. Might be common place in BH marketing to use stuff like that, but for a Twitter Twit... that's all they know.
*140 characters guys....
yes but very often the 140 characters are enough to write and put the site's full url
Firestorm, what you are asking man? You are bored?
Drop it man...
1. character limit (see above)
2. tracking capabilities (see above)
3. to look less spammy: you don't want to tweet one link all over twitter/the same link countless times to one account, why? because your followers can get mad at you, twitter can connect those accounts (if you tweet the same link multiple times from different accounts)
you can tweet upto 160 char thats why
* char Limit
* advance tracking
And super CUTE
