that's not allowed, if mods notice it or it get reported, it'll be taken care of, mods are doing voluntary work here, you can't really expect from them to read every thread, you can't see the background work they do day by day, me neither, i can only imagine, but it happens that something slips through from time to time
if you notice anything like that in the future, hit the report button and help their work

yes I fully appreciate their efforts, it is not at all possible to check every nook and corner of the forum. I was actually confused regarding the rules. I thought posting buy/sell threads in marketplace requires 100 posts along with membership fee. But posting under Associated Content & Writing Articles perhaps free. So had to confirm this before making another mistake.

the thing is that you can't sell outside the BST/marketplace section anywhere, so you got that right, that it's a violation of the rules, you can complete jobs in the hire a freelancer section without paying a fee, but you can't post there either to offer your services
you need to be a Jr Vip to be able to open a sales thread, to become a Jr Vip you need to be a member of the forum for at least 60 days and have made at least 100 posts, the Jr Vip membership costs $97/year, opening a sales thread is another $30, but before you pay that, your sales thread needs to get approved by one of the marketplace mods, if it doesn't reach a certain level, it can get denied
