i am not agree with avoiding buying links.i bought links(after penguin updates in 2013) for my website and for my customers and i get good result!(i buy links many natural)

but i am surprised that many people say dont buy links.even they say dont BUILD links!

i ask a question about link building in google forum and all of people say me stop link building!

in many of article about seo, is writen that buy links is very dangerous after recent google update!

in my opinion,if links not effective and not important, google never said that dont buy or sell links!(specific follow links)

also, in many websites, you can not rely on content and wait to others links to you!(natural).because some subject is not content base.

also, in many subjects, you can not focus on related website to link you.for example, selling credit simcard charge is a public subject!and any website with any content, can link you as a usefull website(even sitewide links!)!

at least, many people say google is very smart.if you buy links, sooner or later, google will detect you and penalize your site! Do you think this is true?

Google is wanting to level the playing field, But you need backlinks to even be found on the first page in most cases.

Link building still works but it needs to be done right to work now...

Why does it matter if a link is built or bought? As long as it's there..

Bought links are usually rented links on websites created for the purpose of renting links. Those websites are what google goes after and the sites they link to usually get hit.

One thing I want to point out and it annoys the fuck out of me....

people brag about buying links or selling links that works after penguin updates. Google only runs an update of the index ever few months, just like 2.1. Just because it works after that update doesn't mean it'll work after the next. So please stop saying "even works after th update", if you bought the links after the update. The reason people say don't buy links is because you have no control over them. Buy too many and you're in a right mess if your website bombs

Yes, I believe that Google will find you and penalise you, especially if you bought a copious amount of low-quality links. From what I've read, if Google finds several websites that were selling links, and your website was linked on those websites, they'll penalise your website and all you'll be left with is a big mess to clean up after.

ok.i never said buying link works after penguin update same as before update.
i just say after update, buying link must be secure and natural.steadly and with high quality links.so,buying links still work (even for long time or permanent).

yes.many articles say dont buy links, google found seller links and penalise your website.those article just quote google guidline!
if one of your friend has a website and link to you, it is not sell or buy links.
but if you pay money to your friend to put your link,it is sell or buy!
now say me,how can google detect your pay?

Let me ask you - I have a site and put link to your site (you pay for this), how exactly google will understand I got money for that link?
Of course if my site is link farm with tons of links pointing to different sites, non related to my own as niche, google will put some flag and if you got link from me - you may hurt...but in fact all those talks from google gurus are just talks.

Ok, you said "I've read"....

Now I will write that jumping from the 5th floor on concrete will not hurt you...

You will take this for granted...?

This is the first big mistake.... don't read and take things for granted... READ and TEST.... and then jump to a conclusion....

I agree you with the first point but I disagree with this:

"pointing to different sites, non related to my own as niche"

How you will build an algorithm that will make a difference between the semantic value of two words?

How many times did you enter 3 words in G search that are related to each other and you will get one of them with a strikethrough?

What this mean? that G didn't find any common results for all three words but only for two of them. IF G will have the ability to understand the text then they will not show results based on words but it will be able to understand the meaning of those words and provide a search result

as id told, why unrelated website should not link to you?if i am a usefull webite or online shop,in a public thread such as super market or credit simcard charge or ... , any website can link me as a usefull site.in my country, 70% of websites (big and small),have a menu or segment or link for selling simcard charge.

Because it's a blackhat technique and it could backfire but as long as you're not competing with adwords users you're gonna be fine :)

target keywords that are low comp, low CPC and no adwords user is gonna report you... while panda & penguin are just spam filter updates from which you can recover even with the spamiest BL profile, getting reported by SEM's because their clients are loosing leads for which they're paying, will get you a manual review of your site :)

Low CPC keywords don't attract a SEM's attention as much as a high CPC keyword for which you're ranked better :)

Have fun!

PS: for every n00b-cak3 that says "penguin and panda are penaltise, OMG manual review, OMG ToS, OMG Matt Cutts"

Graph_v1.php

point on this chart when penguin 2.1 hit :)
