in google keyword planner a keyword i was gonna go for had 14k searches, in serpbook 27k. what?
What did the SerpBook people say when you asked them?
It seems like serpbook didn't update the monthly search field in their website.
My figures in Serpbook have always been accurate
Google has access to a vastly larger data source than serpbook. But that doesn't mean Google's numbers are more accurate: in fact, they provide very skewed numbers to webmasters. The backlinks in Google Webmaster Stools is awfully wrong(or just too outdated to mean anything), just to give one example.
Separate names with a comma.
