I have a site dedicated to what i do for a living (not an adsense, blackhat site at all). It was on page 1 for a very good keyword for almost a year, but recently (last month or so) it's dropped about 3 spots every week. Now it's on page 3. I haven't changed much in fact I've adding fresh content from time to time.

I even created and installed a wordpress blog at mysite . com / blog

The question I have is regarding the sitemap. I have a sitemap for my main site and added all-in-one-SEO. Should I add the individual blog posts to my main sitemap manually or just the main blog page and then install Google XML sitemap on the blog (or something similar)?

Thanks - I'm just confused a bit here.

Thanks - but not exactly what I'm looking for - I know backlinks work I've been doing them for 3 years now :)

    My question is:

"The question I have is regarding the sitemap. I have a sitemap for my main site and added all-in-one-SEO. Should I add the individual blog posts to my main sitemap manually or just the main blog page and then install Google XML sitemap on the blog (or something similar)?"

Let me ask this another way - I think I may have confused things.

I have a website lets say abc . com and it has a sitemap that I update manually each time I add a page to my main website. I recently decided to add a blog to the site located at abc . com / blog. I customised the twentyten theme so it looks and feels like my main website. I have about 7 posts on this blog so far. I added abc . com / blog to my main site's sitemap, but haven't done anything with the individual blog posts. To add those individual blog posts to a sitemap would it be best to manually add them to my main site's sitemap or should I install a sitemap plugin and let the plugin create the sitemap for my blog posts (thus really giving me 2 seperate sitemaps - one for my main website and one for the blog segment of it).

    Thanks in advance guys...
