Looks like my site got sandboxed...what can I do to get google re-index my site?

It was indexed a while ago and then it just vanished. Although, I still get google traffic daily...around 1300 uvs/day.

basically reset the site. Delete all content, ping it and then rebuild it by putting fresh content and a new theme. I did this and i was ranking again in a week.

    hope that helps

Is it actually de-indexed or just being evaluated?

Does your site show up in g if you search for 'site:then your domain name'?

Unlikely to be de-indexed if you're still getting traffic

He might be getting traffic from other search engines other than google..
If people still dont know the difference between indexed/deindexed and "sandboxing"..then they probably should not be posting here without doing 3 minutes of research.:D

Check to see if it is indexed on Yahoo, if it is wait a few days. Try and answer some Yahoo questions and Google may re-index you after a couple of days. If after 3 days of trying this and you are not re-indexed then create a Google webmaster account, fix any problems and request when signed into that account for them to reconsider indexing your site.

How can the site be deindexed if you are getting that much in "google traffic" each day???

I just copy/pasted what my friend wrote to me in an email.

Apparently he gets google traffic but when I did a full audit on his website I found that its not indexed in any of the search engines and has 324 backlinks and PR2.

When I search "site:...." i only shows one result...and its sitemap of that site

Yeah I was wondering the same thing.

@ruicosta - if you're getting 1300uvs/day then you aren't deindexed, you're at least still indexed for something. At least 1300 searches are bringing up you're website in the serp and unless you have a 100% click through rate from the serp then its more likely 20 or 30k searches.

Before taking some of the drastic suggestions being given in this thread I'd do a little more analysis. What keywords are you targeting, what ones are bringing the traffic, etc.

Not sure what's up with it not showing up with "site:...", but if visitors are coming from google then they're clicking on something. Have him look at his Webalizer Stats in cPanel and see what the actual search terms people are using to find his site. Try searching for those terms yourself and see what shows up that way.

maybe any of his keyword would have disappeared in SERP. Check properly again.
