Why is my site not in the top 1000 results in google?

Hi

I have setup 2 sites, Site 1 is ranking in top 50 results in google.com. But site 2 which is targeting a less competitive keyword is not ranking in the top 1000 results in google.com. Site 1+2 are EMDs, both are wordpress blogs with 10 unique written articles, I have added about, privacy, usage, contact us page, sitemap pages to both sites. Both sites were registered 2.5 months ago

Site 1 : I have built 30 web2 sites (Wordpress,Squidoo,etc) rotated the anchor text to the money site, then bookmarked + SB the web2s, The site is now ranking in position 50.

Site 2 : I have built 20 web2 sites and rotated the anchor text to the money site, then bookmarked + SB the web2s (Same as what I did for site 1) I have targeted 3 keywords to rank for but none of the keywords are in the top 1000 results in google.com, Even after waiting for 2.5 months. I also purchased 10 x high pr do follow blog comments for this site

Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

Have you checked if second site is in Google Sandbox?(there are tools for "google sandbox checker" - search that in google to find them)
