Why is my 'contact us' page ranked so high?

I just finished my blog 3 days ago and it got indexed within a couple hours.
In addition, it was ALSO ranked very high, approx. page 1, spot 8 etc.
Its really not bad for a blog less than a week.

After I submitted my sitemap to google webmaster tool yesterday,
it seems that my ranking has dropped, and instead of rank #8, it went down to rank #15. Furthermore, rank #15 is now my 'contact us' page and NOT my homepage.

Just whats going on! Someone help!

P.S: I have been doing a lot of scrapeboxing past 2 days as well, is this whats causing the negative impact?

    Take a guess
Continue building links. If you wanna stop, do it slowly.

Three days is really too soon to tell, but why'd you submit anything to Google in the first place?

I've never understood this practice, especially if your building links already. Consider from Google's perspective, should Google give more weight/attention to a domain that's being submitted to them? One thats screaming "HEY LOOK AT ME! I want rankings now!"

Or should they give it to the domain that they naturally come across via links, thus naturally crawling and indexing your website?

    Just something to think about...

I am currenlty using scrapebox for auto-commenting only.
I will have to admit that over 90% of them are nofollow (which includes some .edu links as well).

    Will those help?

Yeah google is still trying to determine where to place your site. You are going to hit #1 soon.

    Hit #1 :)?
    I really hope so! Thanks

But yeah, as i just started SEO, this is just an experimental campaign for me.
I am working on a fairly easy keyword according to traffic travis.

Secondly, rank #1 only has around 70 BL, but at the same time, most of their BL is PR1 to PR2. Seems like a legit site.
