    Newbie question here:

Why is linkwheel SEO so powerful?
I thought web2.0 properties are nofollow? so how wil linkwheel help you rank (serp)?

there are alot of web2.0 properties. not all of them are no follow.

The trick is to ensure your first layer to your money site are do follows and as high PR as possible - get around 5-8 different web2.0 profiles as main layer and then stretch out from there

Isnt that more like link pyramid?
I am just looking at the BHW banner on the left,
it seems like each web2.0 properties are linked to each other, and at the same time, linked to the money site as well?

    Thanks again

Linkwheels aren't as effective as they used to be from what I understand. Best is to create web 2.0's linking to only your money site. Google isn't dumb when you are interlinking each one of them together.

I generally don't build Linkwheels anymore, I like to build buffer sites to my money sites and then link to those.

Also depending on your niche/keywords, I'll build my Web 2.0 sites with keywords that I'd like to rank for. Obviously competitive keywords are out, but for the less competitive ones I build out solid Web 2.0 sites with good content/videos/etc and link those with popular tools like Sbox/Xrumer.

For some keywords I've got 7/10 spots on the first page, again smaller keywords but none the less I own the page.

    Thanks for the input,
so basically, you make web2.0 sites (squidoos etc.) with your keyword as username, and put your money site URL on profile/page?

Then do a SB blast to those web 2.0 sites?
Isnt that link pyramid in a sense?

I make the site URL, not username, my keyword (if available).

Then I create killer content on those sites, many posts, customize theme, etc all around that keyword I'm targeting. Remember this is for SMALLER keywords that I want to dominate the first page for.

Then I blast those with Sbox/Xrumer, etc. Now on these smaller keyword ones I'm not linking to my money site (no foot print) and only linking to the product/service/etc in which I'm monetizing.

Now, if I'm going for SEO reasons, then I'll generally do the same and then link to my money site from them. In a way, sure, its like a pyramid. But I call it just good ol' SEO.

    Hey guys.

So are you guys saying its not best to interlink each web 2.0 property and interlink with your money site on each of them.

But are you just supposed to have your web 2.0 sites and just have them link to your money sites and not interlink each other?

Why interlink them when linkwheels aren't effective anymore? Google is 100x smarter than any internet marketer out there. Google does know about the link wheel and unfortunately, it does not work anymore. Google has its algoritms on how it works so don't bother. Stick with your main site in the article or other types of links as you prefer and thats it.

It used to be effective to interlink them (a link wheel) but google has caught on so that is no longer the case due to the risk of being sandboxed.

    Alright I see now.

But can you still just have each 2.0 site link to your money site?
    And blast them?

Will this help improve your serps?

You want your web 2.0s to have their own links as well, it needs to look natural.

Hello tacktical, what do you mean having your web 2.0s having their own links?

Are you talking about each web 2.0 getting backlinks and getting linkjuice?

I prefer to build standalone web 2.0s without interlinking and boost them with other lower quality links.

This thread was pretty helpful to me talking about web 2.0, it's power and one way to effectively use it. It might be helpful to you too:

Search for Scritty's post titled "Create WEB2.0 Structures Yourself - A Simple Method." I would post the link myself, but I don't have enough posts! xoxox
