Ok, by no means am I saying its east to rank in Google, but at the same time I know just want needs done to do so.(ish)

You, know say I have a search phrase that is sitting on the the bottom of page one. While I can add or Wright the content so it is a litter better, go on Twitter , Facebook , Digg, Reddit and other sites to talk about it and then do some back-linking.

80% of the time that will help with your SURPs in Google...

But Bing and Yahoo seem to stay the same.. So do you think its harder to rank in Bing or Yahoo?
If Google falls, will we all wish they were here for us to rank on?

I know bing/yahoo pay a lot more attention to social signals and content than backlinks.

Every SE use different algorithms to crawl, index and rank your website. So some of your techniques may be advantageous for one SE and not so for the other SE. If you have good content and follow white hat SEO, your site's sure to be ranked in all SE's someday...

Different algorithms..I'd say it's safe to say that most of the people in Internet marketing gun after Google and its methods. Most of the time, it's pretty synonymous to each other though, but if you can figure out how Bing/Yahoo ranks theres, then you're ahead of the curve ;)

I'm having the same issue. Pretty much all of my sites rank on the first page for their main keywords in Google, but they're all lingering in the 3rd page or further in Yahoo. Its not the content is bad or anything, its just that most of the site are new.

First thing that came up in my mind:

G and B use different ways to index and rank sites.

For instance, G doesnt give a F about meta keywords and i know a lot of guys stopped using this meta in their sites.

B still use these keywords so my guess is that you don't have the kw metatag in your <head>

bing and yahoo use the same index. if u get banned in bing u get banned in yahoo too..

and we all know bing is retarded, thats why its so hard to get ranked.

    EDITTT:

    OH~!@#!@#$

    I REMEMBER!@#!@#!@#

to get ranked in bind you the h1 tag on every single page of your website

if u dont have that tag, u wont be added in bing, therefore u wont be in yahoo

    :3 welcome

We talk so much about "ranking on google" and "getting the best of google". . . . Who out there can give some real insight in to ranking on Bing?

I used Bing ads because I had a free $50 and I must say people that used that were more willing to by vs google.

Now, I did not get as many clicks as I would of with google but the ones I got mattered.

What I have consistently found is that ranking on Yahoo/Bing is easier than Google, however it takes longer. Google will move you up/down very quickly (as they crawl faster). Yahoo/Bing will take a lot longer to actually move you up and down, but when they do, you usually rank a lot better and those rankings are a lot more stable.

So, any basic tops on how to rank easily on Bing/Yahoo?

I have an EMD, huge site + ecommerce that's #1 in Google. It still comes in below some shit sites in Yahoo!

    :( bummer.
