I am writing posts on a pr2 good pa/da aged domain and yet only when I fetch it from google they get indexed rather than themselves. Why is that? Is fetching a bad idea? Can we still ping?

I guess its normal for new posts.Better you wait for some more time get that indexed. Also try to make some social bookmarking for the url. That helps to get indexed fast.

Wait for at least 2 weeks for it to get indexed. You don't want to rush the indexing process as well if you are putting it on high DA pages, if there are enough links to that page, Google will find it easier.

I agree with the above post. Instantlink indexer had been getting the job done for me.

One time it got my facebook page index in 5 minutes, its that good.

I also use it to index my web 2.0s which usually takes no more than 1 week, if the web 2.0 is not index after 1 week it most likely never will so i just leave it be.

High PR blogs and forums get indexed quick. You need to develop PR in order to get in fast.

Try this forum, for example, in a few minutes you'll be able to search for this thread and find it on Google.

Indexing are also direct related to quality of content if the website is new.
Try to post high quality and informative content then indexing speed will be fast.

It might be an issue of site structure. Do you have any internal linking going to these posts? Do you have your sitemap setup to crawl your posts after x number of days/priority?

PR has nothing to do with indexing rate. It's an outdated and irrelevant metric.

I have PR 0 websites that get new articles indexed in minutes.

You can`t be more wrong. You can get unreadable content indexed within minutes

Wrong. Although PR isn`t a public info anymore but it is very important factor how quickly your site gets crawled and indexed. The higher trust Google sees on your site the more crawling it gets and the quicker is indexing

    Cheers

It seems I'm late to this party, but - most of my PBN posts get indexed in <24hrs, sometimes within hours.

To me, it's a sign of how good the domains are, because G has publicly said they crawl 'trusted' and 'popular' domains more often (I might be wrong on the exact words they used, but, 'if it's good, they're gonna crawl more often' was the general message).
