Why is GoDaddy so bad?

having a bad experience does not make a brand completely bad. that would be unfair.
I use godaddy and I haven't had any problems so far.
I must agree with you too,out there are lot of semi fake GD hate reviews, from amateurs who have the Deluxe Hosting plan and installing 5 or 10 different domains+ wordpress sites on it , amateurs who have zero knowledge about server ressources. I would say the last few years GD done a lot to make their services and servers better, but they are one of the few webhosting providers with surreal ridiculous policies and censorship and yes they running their shared hosting server with tiny shoestring ressources. So long as so be alignwith that have no more than 2000 visitors traffic to your site you will be fine. But there are better webhosting competitors who have more and better shared hostign server settings than GD.

I've had custom domain names that were available for registration at regular prices magically turn premium after adding them to the cart on GoDaddy.
They're pretty shady if you ask me.

Namecheap steals domain ideas too, when you found one good name you must buy it within 3 minutes. When that is truth what the godaddyfokkers doing now, add the domain name you found within 3 minutes in your cart to buy, then they steal ist form you that is not bending the US federal state law, this is crime I would say. Here in europe I not have seen that with europe domain registrars.

Good registrar I know is porkbun, any other good registrars? Registrars who will not ban domains who have webites (separate hosting) who have some controversy content on it ? Slightly controversy like Teal swan or Ralph Smart is doing as example.

Happy Friday

GoDaddy’s like that one friend who’s always around… but keeps trying to sell you stuff It works, sure—but others are cheaper, cleaner, and don’t try to upsell you into oblivion.

Ah, GoDaddy? The screen is full of "upgrade package" pop-ups, and finding a domain name is like playing an escape room

You buy a domain, payed have it payed and set to auto renew and all that stuff.

Then it happens, one day the sun is shining.....whaaaam! Your Domain is listed for sale in an auction,
How can that be?

Godaddy steals Domains who are worth 50k and more or some like that , with their estimate value calculation method, or whatever it is.

Moment deep thinking by the way.....the godaddyfokkers have a lot of big rich companies as their customers, from them they not steal Domains or shutdown their webhosting Site?

The founder of godaddyfokkers is a slavery master or he learned some secret Elite stuff to keep consumers down like slaves.

Buy a .blog tld as example, most registrars charge on renewal between $17-21, but not the godaddyfokkers, they charge $42.

When you as can entrepreneur doing this, you will catapult yourself out of the free market.

Their customer service is terrible
That's the main reason why I left them. I don't contact CS often but the rare offchance I do, I don't want to be thrown in a loop of automated messages, constant dept transfers and "sorry, I can't help you" loop.
But besides that
If they do offer extremely cheap domains, or free ones, I will still grab them and transfer out when needed.
It's exactly that.
I have around 100 domains with GoDaddy but only cheap .com domains. All the expensive ones I moved out for safety. GoDaddy support is terrible.
