Why is buying new sites such a slow process?

    So, I'm having some trouble..

I bought a .IT domain with GoDaddy, changed the name servers with the Hostgator's one and then after 15 hours the nameservers changed have failed..lol
I did it again and I'm waiting again, don't know how much time, maybe 15 hours, maybe 7 days.

Is there a way to avoid all this? I mean, can I buy a domain with GoDaddy + hosting with GoDaddy and have my site ready to be edited?
Without waiting days and days just for the name servers to change...then the DNS to propagate etc.

You have to wait upto 7 days before the domain is transferred to your account.. It takes 5 days to verify the payment and another 2 day to initiate transfer. That's how it works. You wont be able to speed up this process in anyway so you need to be patient.
