Why I Don't Trust DA / PA and Why You Shouldn't Either - Why I Stick by Page Rank

Oh, so you have an authority blog? Tell me more about those 3 organic visits per day.
Just joking.
The post is okay, but there is really a lot of kind of these posts.
So I guess your missing uniqueness.

I guess I haven't searched I only read the big seo sites like search engine land etc I never saw them talk about how easy it is to fake DA PA.

Well I don't agree with this. You can easily fake Page rank too between the PR updates.. All you have to do is buy a PR domain and change the nameserver and voila! you have a domain with real page rank(according to the tools) which shows even after you use info command

Its definitely not a good thing to go for domain just by checking PA/DA but the combination of PA/DA,PR, TF, Backlink, Anchor text ratio,Archive results. Its not difficult to find out whether the domain has been spammed or not.

And BTW you should also consider checking TF as well because its the most difficult metric to fake(Some spammed domains do have a high TF but they are mostly hacked domains or with sidebar links) so look out for domains with a TF more than 15 and those usual factors like good PR, DA and links and you should be able to grab a great domain.

Yes I do indeed check all these factors. This blog post was just about how everyone seems to over value DA / PA.
What you described doesnt sound like faking PR though. It sounds like, you bought a legitimate high PR domain lol. That is the point.

Ofcourse the domain was fake as it was showing the redirected domain with PR after using info command but since the redirect wasn't active the the domain started to show the fake PR as real PR later after changing nameservers. This is the main reason why some domains lose their PR completely after the PR update as they were once fake PR's :)
