Like ~2weeks ago I made a small network of 20 small niche sites, since then I have been adding to them unique article like every 3days to each of the site . and I hired one who is building daily backlinks for me ( 10 per day /per site from ******** blog commenting )
So far all of the sites have been indexed already for some week.
But Out of these 20sites only 6of them have any rankings at all!

I mean they are in small niches and the ones who have been ranked (those 6 ) are in first 50results. - But the rest of the sites Just isn't nowhere to be found!

Anyone can tell me Is this normal or not? They have been indexed for already week and shows up with site: search but just don't have any rankings at all in top 1000 results .
Anyone have had something like this before? And Did those sites after some time even got some rankings or not?

Just want to know if I'm wasting my time and $ with those rest 14sites or not?

    Thx, and merry Xmas!

Possibly that I got the other sites somehow sadboxed or something like that?
Or isn't it when it's sandboxed it's also deindexed at same time?

i think your site is not get sandboxed,

i have same situation like this before, i make about 5 network niche site. and put good quality content on it, and make backlink to all of the network.

and just on 1 week i have get into page 2 on my niche, but on the next week the site is drop to page 6.

and what i did is, i just keep make backlink to all the site network and keep updating the content with good quality content. and on the next 3 week my site hit the page 1 on that keyword.

so, i think if you have situation like this, just keep doing link building and update your site, i believe your site may have stronger position on SERP.

toxtom, I've got a similar issue with 10 sites I made around 2 months ago.

I'm just working on backlinks here and there I had a few sites rank in the top 50 for a few weeks but now they have all disappeared from site.

No idea what to do, I was trialing a link wheel on one to see how it goes.I guess I'll have to keep up the links, 'cos I dunno what else to do...

Yeah bet those other sites haven't appeared at google at all YET even it's been 1week they have been indexed already.
So the real question is- Should I just wait and they should appear later on or ditch those sites and concentrate on the ones what already got their rankings?

you need to wait a little longer. In some niches, the rankings take a little time to appear.so waiting for a little time would be better. And i think you can go on with the link building too.Hope you are taking care of the anchor variations.

Anchor variations is something I'm always aware of.

If your niche is "Australian Housewives Favorite Appliances" - and EVERY single link
has that exact long chain keyword as the anchor Big G could possibly penalise.

Same goes for which links you use. I try to spread them out amoungst the pages a lot, instead of having every link going to the main index...

I'd hang on to those sites. Don't go nuts, just a few links here and there and check them every week or so. I'm giving my sites 4-6 months before I make any decisions.

Toxtom, dont worry man. I think your competitors made a few extra backlinks then you and so you lost your sites to them. Like mccullum said, use more Long Tail keywords in Anchor Texts for variations and you will get back your Rankings and may be a better Ranking this time ;)
