So, long story short,i delivered one yelp review to some buyer here, and agreed to deleiver more if he pays on time. Review stayed in recommended section , but now i am not able to find him online. Why people resort to such acts for as little as 20 or 30 usd. I will be opening a shitlist in a day or two if he didn't respond. I know with pay after work services its not alaways 100 percent sure ,that you get all your payments but why put reputation of your client at risk for whom you are buying review or services.

Some people are scumbag. But before opening a shitlist, try getting in touch with him via any platform. email, skype, whatsapp. BHW Pms. etc.

Looks there is always a way to punish such buyers. First open a shitlist and get his account banned and then do what ever you want to do with his business , sites etc.

Agree, will follow that. But good buyers are there as well, there was one lady who bought fiverr review from me and sent all money upfront though I asked for only half upfront.

Trust is a hard thing these days.

Just by having a chat with the provider first I've been able to avoid lots of potential problems. The way the service provider replies will give you hints. As a seller you can probably do the same if you have the time, a few private messages back and forth.

The big problem I see is new BHW accounts or anonymous buyers. They have nothing to lose and it may even be a method of theirs, scam you on 20 U$ and tens of others using different identities in other forums and marketplaces, it adds up to some good money. Unfortunately there are people who make a living scamming others just like the honest folks make a living providing something legit. Some scammers do it for decades before getting caught and this is everywhere in real life, not just IM.

Totally agree, they are not only hurting sellers but also their clients, it will take only 5 min for me to change my review to a negative, although i prefer deleting the service if not paid. I can do that just because i am providing tangible service, but i feel bad about sellers who sells views or traffic, there is no way to get back if money not paid by buyer.

Can't, you just edit the yelp review and ruin their business. Bad buyers cannot be trusted sellers.

i dont sell to new members of bhw, i dont sell to 1 post users.
i dont sell to very old accounts dormant for years that suddenly go on a buy spree.

9 years - 2 refunds - and those refunds where to 2 people i threw out my

It does not happen just in the online world.

My business provides a labor product of yard care. I ask for payment once a month and it is after I have done the work. Most customers pay on time after the work is completed, and some tell me that they are having a problem paying. The ones that contact me will often find that I will either give them the work (I write it off on taxes), or tell them to pay me when they can and continue services.

Once in a while I run into a customer that does not pay, does not contact me, and dodges or evades me. With that customer. I simply stop service. Later on when their grass is overgrown, weeds are growing, and their grass is dying because I forgot to turn the sprinkler timers back on, the customer contacts me and lets me know that they have a check ready. With that customer, I tell them that their money is not wanted and payment will not be accepted, and that service has been terminated. I do not tell them that I pass their name and address on as a bad customer to all the other lawn care services. Then I write it off as a loss.

Problem dealt with. They are left doing the work.

Yeah right but client never pays first, they always ask work first. If you have good review or reputation then also.

In that case you can go for 50-50 , Like 50% upfront and 50% after completion of the job.

I have faced such problems a lot of time as i am back again for work so searching for more clients. Last month i have open 3 shitlist against client just because of $5-$15. $5 is not a big amount but people think that take the work and say sorry i can't pay you because you not did good job without explaining what the mistakes. Some said that i have given the work through my client as he not paid so i can't pay you.
Recently i got hired from one of the member of BHW, he having good reputation here so i thought to accept his offer and work, i have send him a sample but paid work for which he paid me. We decided monthly cost for the service, suddenly he said that give me time i'll snd you the work by Monday. Monday and other days going on, he back on Friday and send me the work details. I did correctly when he asked me to send him excel file i tried to send him through skype but he is not getting the file. I said give me your email id let me send you there so it's being easy for you get that file, he said send me through dropbox. Instead of dropbox i send him through other website, so he can download the file. After that he started arguing and said that i am not going to pay you. then i said okay no issue will post about you on SL with proof then he paid me. I said i am asking payment for the work i did for you not asking free funds.

Sorry long story but facing a lot of things.

    @payal23j

Well you need to explain them that thing .

For my regular clients : I don't have to ask them for payment they release the payment without any delay . Yes , it took some time to build trust.

For Newbies / New Client :

    Project Costing is ≤ 150$ ..... 100% upfront.

    Project Costing Above 150$ ... 50-50 .

Set your Rules , Never start work if you are not getting upfront for your work. Say "NO" politely .
