Why has youtube reduced CPM for all niches ?

Too much inventory and advertisers being pickier than they were a few years ago.

CPM dropped due to more creators and ad inventory, advertisers shifting budgets to other platforms, economic slowdowns, and more traffic from lower-paying regions, reducing average ad value across niches.

But the ads are distributed automatically or can they choose which channels to advertise on ?
Well if you only got 10 workers they'll get paid a lot more then if you got 1000 workers doing the same work.

YouTube CPM dropped because more ad inventory, tighter advertiser budgets, and higher creator competition lowered payouts across niches.

The number of people who need to be paid is growing, competition is increasing, and as a result, the average revenue per user is declining. I have also noticed that the average revenue per user has fallen significantly for certain topics, although I am not sure why, while for others it has remained the same.
