I was confusing myself with the question of ?Why should we fake or blank referrer when using iframe?

Consider this example ? I am iFraming a Zip Submit offer (that converts on first page) in my website. People submit the zip and my site url is shown to my CPA Network as referrer. This is correct, yeah? Because I got approved for promoting offers in my site and their tracking system will show my approved site as the referrer. So, I don?t see why one would want to blank or hide referrer using iFrame?

I know I may sound dumb but I don?t seem to get the logic behind it.

Similarly, using BHCB for zip submits will also going to show my website as the referrer yeah? Why do we need to fake referers in that case as well?

    Self-employed (Hopefully you are also)
Because CPA networks do not allow iFraming/BHCB/incentivised signups. So if they see the referrer as your site, they know you are doing it. If you fake the referrer, they will hopefully see a WH site you have made.

People choose to blank their referrer when doing and iframe because they want to use the submit section of an advertisers offer and crop it and paste it into their own site which might be promoting something completely different but will convert well for you but not for the advertiser.
