I just don't get it, I purchased 2 new domains about a few weeks ago and I payed this SEO firm which only uses white hat methods to rank my sites and once they started my SEO Project everything was good I was on the first page within a week. Then all of a sudden one of my domains hompage was no longer showing up so I went ahead and did a site:mydomain.com and all my inner pages are ranked fine but my hompage is nowhere to be found. After about a week this same thing happend to the second domain I purchased.
(Just a side note, its not the SEO firm which is bad because I had this problems with other domains that I never submitted to them.)
Now going back a little further, late 2010 around November I purchased 5 aged domains some even going back to 1998 for their registered date, to make a long story short the same thing happened to these aged domains. Now with these aged domains I had turned them into autoblogs but the content was rewritten so it would pass copyscape so I don't think it was a duplicate content penalty. Another plugin I was using was called "Search Terms Tagging 2" for wordpress which leaves a major footprint behind and I though that was the cause for the aged domain blogs to be penalized and I have since then stop using that plugin.
Also, just to note, I did not use the STT2 plugin on my new domains which I purchased.
So my question is, Why dose google do this, deindex the homepage but leave the inner pages?
(Also before anyone tells me its just a google dance, some of my previous domains still has not recover form this despite the changes I did to the site.)
