I see alot of people on here saying get your own domains to host your autoblog. Why don't I want to use blogger.com and have my content emailed to me and posted and just put up my ads. It has a pr I think of 8 and a new domain has zero. Why is this not a better idea?

Your blogger blog will not have a pr of 8. Yours will have a pr of n/a when you first create it.

The reason most people use their own domains is because they then also have a blogger blog, wordpress blog, squidoo lens, myspace page, and many other sites linking back to their 'money' site. In other words, they use the free stuff to get back to their domain name.

Because Wordpress has a ton of plugins that offer you a lot more functionality for autoblogging. You can get content from many sources easily, determine update times and even rewrite the posts on the fly.... and thats just on top of the other useful non-autoblog plugins available for Wordpress...

And owning your own domain means you own your own property. Blogger can delete your autoblogs anytime you want and you can't do anything about it. Nobody can do anything to your own domain except you.
