    Hi guys,

I am trying to get backlinks from my Squidoo lenses I've created a few months ago to my website. Unfortunately without success so far. I have build around 200 - 500 backlinks to each Squidoo lens since about 4 months ago. The Squidoo lens has been indexed in Google, but G won't find/crawl/index the backlink to my website.

I did 50 social bookmarks to each Squidoo lens and I was hoping G would finally find/crawl/index my backlink, but unfortunately it seems it won't happen. I also pinged the squidoo urls. What could be the problem and why G won't find my backlink on my Squidoo page to my website? What can I do more since it has been 4 months ago.

Thanks in advance for your input!

    1) Is the Squidoo lens cached? And if it is do the links show up in the cache?
    2) If your using Yahoo to check for backlinks it's got very slow and unreliable these days
    3) Have you checked Webmaster tools inbound links?

Have you pinged the links you have created ?

I am doing some tests with squidoo.

I started a new lens this last weekend that has been (Sunday) and its all ready on page 2 for both my main keywords.

Competition is like 200K + in quotes and 10K exact search keyword for the main keyword and like 3K for the 2nd keyword.

You just need to mix up your links, get bookmarks, get high PR profile links and maybe some article links.

    Thanks for your reply.

    1) when I put the squidoo lens in the google search, google found the squidoo lens. When clicking "cache" I can see the "old" backlink to my site which was another site. So in fact Google cached my squidoo lenses with the old backlinks which I've created 4 months ago. I have changed the backlinks in my Squidoo lens 1 month ago.

This probably might be the issue, right? If so, how can I let Google cache my new backlinks to my current website?

I have checked webmaster tools and I could not find the squidoo backlink.

    Thanks in advance

Thanks for your input. In my previous post I have explained the most likely problem..

I would first off ping your squidoo lens and then start creating backlinks pointed at your lens. Mix it up, create some bookmarks, maybe throw a few .edu blog comments, and then an SB blast or two. After that just make sure to ping anything and everything pointed at your lens.

So you've updated your lens with new links and Google hasn't updated the page since.

    1) Update the lens with some fresh material
    2) Take the RSS feed for the lens add 5-6 other items (Yahoo Pipes or the like)
    3) Submit the RSS feed to the aggregators
    4) Submit link to Indenti.ca
    5) If you have Twitter accounts Tweet the link and Retweet it with 3-4 other accounts (not all at once)
    6) If you can point a decent backlink at it (PR2+)
    7) Ping
    8) Add a little new content every 3-4 days for a while

It depends on how important the links from your Squidoo lens are for my self I count them as low value so wouldn't put a lot of effort into it unless it has decent PR (PR3+).
