I see accounts with 50k followers offering a payment scale of $10-$50, and then see accounts with 3.4m followers offering a payment scale of $15- $100, for similar times of exposure as the 50ks.

but then other 500k accounts, will be charging $300. etc

why is this? is it because some big accounts don't understand their value so low ball themselves massively?

i think the account with 3.4 millions followers have less engagement (maybe most of his followers are fake ) ...
when someone want to buy a shoutout from an account, it valued it based on the likes and comments of every picture, not the number of followers.

Engagement, engagement, engagement. It doesn't matter how many followers you have, 2 billion fakes on follower count isn't going to give your post any exposure. What matters is how many of those followers are active, how many likes and comments an average post on the account gets.

Yeah, true, the engagement is very valuable. i just feel as though big, yet useless, accounts selling cheap shout outs, diminish the earning potential of a smaller, but more useful, account as it would get over looked by naive instagramers looking to buy a shout out.

oh @Vampirion , just google buy shout out instagram, top result (im afraid to link) has a few big accounts for cheap.
