So, I have a site that is ranking on Page 2 of Google for multiple keywords but my traffictravis shows it as not having been indexed and google doesnt seem to show it in their site:domain either.

    Not sure whats happend.

If I had a bunch of articles on the site that didnt flow with the exact theme of the site, in other words, the site is about real estate but I had 130 articles about mortgage finance and such, would that help to get rid of them or hurt me once I deleted them?

Most likely your site is currently in Google sandbox. Do some high quality social bookmarks and post the url in a google+ profile.

How can a site be ranked on page 2 of Google and not indexed? If you can see your website in the serps then it is indexed buddy. Enjoy the rest of your day/night.

sounds like an issue with Trafic Travis rather than anything else. If you see your site in the SERPs, thenits indexed by definition :)

It depends on the keywords and searches, if the keywords are searched by 10 people you may have 0.2% of 10 visitors: 0.

Or it could be the metatag description that is not so attractive to the visitors. For a stupid example: if I search for "P.Jackson" meaning Peter Jackson the film director, and I find Phil Jackson the basketball coach I won't open his page! Or if I'm looking for a low-cost web service and I read in the meta-description "Web Services from 3.999$" I won't open it!

try site:yourdomain.com in Google. If it shows up then it is definitely indexed!

It is definitely indexed if it is on page two of serps,

So who knows what those couple of posters were going on about sandboxed and keywords v searches and other nonsense, I'm afraid that's called "opening your mouth and letting your belly rumble" where I come from.

If you don't know don't give a definite answer to get posts up, you just end up looking like a silly billy
