I have a micro niche site, it only has 1 article published, but it has a policy page also!

I have had an article submission service which has built 1000+ backlinks to the main page (http://www.xxxxxx.net) but when i type my keyword in google, I cant find my main page, but on the 9th page, there is http://www.xxxxxx.net/privacy-policy

    What is happening?

Google is in love with privacy policy pages for some unknown reason...

add meta noindex, noarchive, follow tags.
also rel="nofollow" all links to it

Did you blast and backlinks to your privacy page at all? Have you checked the privacy pages' backlinks in any tools / reports?

Is your privacy page the only unique content on your site? I'd suggest just putting some more content on your site, it will work itself out.

it could be because of keyword density
your main page might be having higher or low keyword density

First off, for what keyword(s) is your privacy policy outranking your homepage? If it's not for target keywords, don't worry about it. For example, if it's only for the domain name as a keyword.

Don't do a rel="nofollow" to all links to it. Using nofollow basically wastes internal PR/link juice. Better to have that PR sent to that page then back out to pages it links to than to have it simply evaporate from all your pages which link to it.

Also, you want Google to find/index your privacy policy so it knows your site has one.

Simply change your internal link structure a bit, like only link to the privacy policy page from the home page and not every page. You'll waste less PR linking to it from every page and with fewer internal links to it, Google will see it as a less important page.

Also, make sure your home page has a good amount of text content on it. It may be that it has too little and your privacy policy has far more and Google sees it as a more relevant page.

Its because you just did a blast, give it sometime and it will come back.
