Hey guys, just recently started with CPA gateway pages. My gateway goes off after the visitor has been on my pages for more than 7 seconds, so obviously I am losing out on alot of cash since according to my stat counter 75% of my visitors leave in under 5 seconds.

Now you probably thinking my pages are either ugly and unappealing ect ect

But actually the pages I'm using are completely professional looking and attention grabbing...showing the user what they want to see...

I would think with how nice these pages look, that my visitors leaving in under 5 seconds would be about 1/3 of what it is.

I'm stumped...is this normal for most people? Like I said, my pages look like they were designed by graphic designers (because they were lol)....I see no reason for the majority of my traffic to be disintrested upon landing on my page..

Where is the traffic coming from? It doesn't matter how nice the page looks if its crap traffic.

My traffic is laser targetted and from Youtube. I would rate the quality of the traffic as high ans mostly US visitors.

Perhaps they are not finding what they are looking for.

If you have analytics installed on your site, maybe look at how they come to your website i.e. which keyword, which referral site etc and give them what they are looking for. Also, if you're optimizing, make sure you optimize each individual page to relevant keywords rather than bombarding the homepage because you want the visitor/user to find what they are looking for. So if you send them to the homepage and they can't find what they are looking for, they will instantly leave.

I hope the above make sense.

ya, related topics (maybe longer tail of the same subject) so that they keep clicking, and once they start trusting your site, they buy too.

Thanks for the help but I am not even using these pages to rank on Google. All my traffic is coming from social media sites. And I am giving them exactly what they are looking for!!!

If someone wants to take a look at 1 of my pages they can PM me.

does your site load fast? Also, if you're directing them to a squeeze page, that might be an issue too. People hate feeling like they're being sold to, and squeeze pages make it all to obvious for most people with half a brain.

If you could PM me a link to the page, and the youtube page you're driving traffic from I can give you a better explanation.

BTW, unless you're using PPC, no traffic is REALLY "lazer targeted"... it's more or less stumbled traffic..

I have had the same issue.

Social media site people are in Social media moods.. the fact they click is enough...

it has to be the most outstanding offer on the face of the earth to attract a person who is in social media mode. I know because its exactly what I am doing.

Why not let some one - you can pm me also have a look.

I too have had the most brilliant pages but you must understand that it could be something tiny in your proposition you are missing out. I hope to help you solve it.

To be fair - social media people are idiots and not in the mood... or interested they have decided subconsiously that they are not interested and click out of boredom or intrigue.. You need to make is so god damn ridiculous and totally un scammy etc to get a spark of interest.

Also look at your targeting...who are they, how do they think are they male female... what time of the day are you getting them.. what time of the day is best to get them...as far as social media goes... the later at night the better... as people are bored then and are likely to be curious... equally that comes with tiredness... and so monday afternoons also work.

Happy to look at your brilliant page... trust me... i doubt it really is :) no offence.. I think mine are amazing and I learned this one with a 30k loss!!!!

Everything you said is spot on...especially regarding time of day. I definatly get more email submits during the early hours out of my traffic,

And yeah I have a pretty good idea on understanding my target audience when I drive traffic to certain sites. IDK take a look at the site I PM'd you. I have a few like this but each one is pretty different yet similar if that makes sense lol.

Thanks for sending me your site info here's my response:

You're trying to get email addresses from your visitors straight away with a javascript box that they cannot close. You said that it closes after 120 seconds, it did not, I waited. You can't be deceptive when asking people to enter their email address. Maybe add a disclaimer like "I am going to spam the shit out of you once you give me your email addy" or "You're email address will not be used for any more than verification"

Second point, the first page loaded pretty slow, so that's possibly another reason. But not a 75% bounce rate reason.

Find creative ways to capture emails. Your visitors aren't stupid, EVERYONE knows that you can prevent "bots" from accessing your content in other ways, robots.txt, maybe captchas? Don't play people for stupid. I say this alot, blackhat is not about frauding people into getting their information, it's a method of beating the system through loopholes to make legit conversions.

Hey thanks for the response but I wasn't asking about the method I am using :p Too me, CPA products like ringtones, acai products are the real scams. I guess you don't like my content locker design which sucks cu I thought it was pretty good. I tell people they can wait 120 seconds so that they feel they don't have to enter their email, but it'll save them 2 minutes of waiting. For what I am trying to achieve, I thought it was pretty well thought out but to be honest it's pretty much the same wording from someone elses tutorial on making CPA gateway pages...

So Iframe email submits...worse things have been done. I read the other day that the daily global spam email output is somewhere around 30 BILLION...I doub't I'm contributing much to that number... maybe 0.00000001 lol But it pays pretty good!

I don't know why the page loaded slow for you, I just pinged it and the response time was 64ms. Shouldn't be loading slowly at all...

Debbie do you have any input? I am sure your not as critical of my monetization method haha.

Probably you should try to get those msg boxes that say "wait we have a special offer for you" that pops up when the visitor tries to close the page. This may probably increase your conversion rate by a few percent.

Got both those covered. Even went the extra mile and covered the "Looks Good!" aspect of everything.

Still 75% bouncing according to my StatCounter.com code

Most likely you're just getting spambots which is what most of your traffic consists of.

Social media traffic, BLEH! I ran a legitimate ad campaign for a client using facebook ads, the add actually said the price of the item on it. We were hoping people in a buying frame of mind would click on it. Nope we got hundreds of clicks no one bought. Stupid FB people!
