Two similar posts can get completely different results. What do you think matters most - title, timing, account history or subreddit culture?

also look for controversial & divisive topics. But you run the risk of being banned

account history is huge. aged accounts with karma get way more visibility, fresh accounts get throttled even if the post is good. subreddit culture matters but if your account looks sus the algorithm will shadow you regardless

Mostly it is about how is the post performing in the early time after it got posted like 2-3 hours. Of in 2-3 hour the post gets good engagement like upvotes, comments, shares it tends to perform better whereas a post without upvotes, comments gets buried alive. That's my observation as per some of my post which got 200k views with 2-3k uovotes and comments

1st) Account history.

2nd) Initial reactions.

3rd) Comment activity and naturlly generated conversation in the comments

The title can secure the initial check, but the account history and the timing of when you post also matter.

The title can make a big difference because it is usually the first thing people see. A clear, interesting title can get people to stop scrolling, while a vague or confusing one can be ignored even when the actual post is good.

I think the first hour matters a lot. If people start commenting quickly it can snowball, while another decent post just gets buried.

I think subreddit culture matters most. A good title helps, but if the post feels natural for that community and get early genuine engagement, it has a much better chance of taking off. Timing and account history can help too.
