    checking analytics....
some people search for some weird shit - they think google is a person who will answer their questions??

    for example:
my landlord said he wants me out in 3 days. what rights do I have?
my girlfriend has a black spot on her arm. what should we do?

do they really expect a bot to understand and answer these questions?

does this piss off anyone else, or am I just overreacting?

pretty much what pornguy said. there's a massive amount of internet users around the world. so there's a good chance that someone else has asked the exact same question and it'll show up in the searches.

for instance if you searched for something like "why is the sky blue". you'll find q&a sites where the question has been asked and people discussing the matter.

btw, you can talk to bots: http://www.cleverbot.com/

By your argument, if a guy searches 'how to have sex', he is indirectly asking Big G to lie down with him?.

It's obvious that people have blogs, posts, forum threads etc that contain the answer to the question being searched for. You've been here since late 2013 and didn't know this?

Yea that question is just the search string - they are looking for someone who has posted that exact question.

also google build their search algos like that - they don't expect a tech query, they expect a basic human query.

People always think I'm weird because I search google very efficiently. For instance the other day:

I wanted to figure out what was up with my car.

My friend searched "car makes a very loud noise when I am driving"
I search "pontiac" "g6" "driving" "engine" "noise"

I was able to figure it out pretty fast.
Some people just have not realized there a far better ways to search.

When people are researching things, searching things for me, etc, it can be very painfully awkward waiting for them to find what I can find on first search.

So yes, I understand where you are coming from!
