Why do so many people think blog networks = penalty??

    I see plenty of google results powered by private blog networks. It's just the mainstream tracked ones that took a hit. Blog networks still seem to be the replenishing source of link-power.

    Nobody thinks they all lead to a penalty, there's just always that risk. But there is with most kinds of link building.

    Since less links have more of an impact lately, I'd think pushing those few links to the few main domains you care about, probably would yield effective results
