Why do people like Elon Musk but hate Jeff Bezos?

In my opinion ,one of them is much more active on social media than the other one.Humankind loves popularity.Also one of them still dreams like a young boy despite his age while the other is just focusing on making money in an adult way,without promising trips on Mars ,flying (electric) cars and wealthness from cryptocurrency..as I said my opinion.Who understand the World anyway?

In 2001 I was 12 years old.
If someone from the future would tell me that in about 17-18 years, some mofo will launch his own car model into space with a dummy driver, using his own spaceship, I would laugh my ass out.
If that someone would also tell me some other mofo will be a billionaire because he will sell a lot of books, even as a kid I would probably think yeah, ok, sure, makes sense, those must be some good books.
21 years later, I see them both successful businessmen, but I mean, come on, the man sent his freaking car into space with his freaking rocket ship, both companies managed by him.
People are easy to be impressed, and most are impressed by actions out of the ordinary.
There are so many billionaires that made money the boring way, through oil.
Then you have people like Grant Cardone, who attracts more attention with even less money. People like that.
People hate Jeff Bezos because he is a billionaire that doesn't pay taxes.
Like those taxes that the government collects from hundreds of thousands of amazon employees are nothing.
This is what misinformation causes.
Those two pay more taxes to the government than maybe 100 other billionaires combined.

All you really see from Bezos is PR social media accounts & things to do with space/amazon.

I do not think the space race between SpaceX or Blue Origin is over yet, and 5 years ago I would have totally thrown my hat in with Bezos, but Elon is pretty brilliant. Watch him on Lex Fridman on Youtube. He's wacky as can be but he is brilliant. And he is getting it done. I don't think we could even begin to comprehend what his game plan is right now, especially regarding Twitter, etc but that cat definitely intrigues me. Nothing against Bezos but ...

Elon is doing super cool shit. I also genuinely think he's not that interested in money, I don't think its his main driver. Makes him real easy to root for. I don't understand why you think he doesnt care about the general population, what makes you think that?
Bezos seems to be more consumed by $. Which is tough to get behind.
I mean other than the fact they are the 2 richest people on earth, they are wildly different people with totally different beliefs, doing totally different things.

Neither of the emotional response to these billionaires is reasonable.
Whether they like or hate anyone of these it doesn't make sense because it doesn't come from a place of rationality.

Jeff Bezos does not make fun of people & does not mock others, unlike Elon Musk.
Well, business competition related issues are different (Amazon may have used it's edge unfairly in India for example).
But, as a human being in terms of conduct in public, Jeff Bezos is quite decent, whereas nowadays, people consider Elon Musk to be more of a clown / joker.

Elon Musk is the dumb person's idea of an awesome person. To post the things he is guilty of will undoubtedly cause a war in this forum that will cause the thread to be locked, so I will not be able to expand much beyond this. Lots of people like Elon Musk, lots of people like Jeff Bezos.
