Most of this stems from when he fired employees after the acquisition of Twitter and then proceeded to monetise twitter with the whole "pay for the blue tick"
Here are my thoughts on it, Elon Musk is a business man, business means generating money. If he has come in and seen a bunch of people who are not performing and twiddling their thumbs, then yes, he is going to let people go and choose to save that money and invest it elsewhere.
Same thing with the blue tick payment, he has bought a company and wants to make money. It's like buying a website that receives a ton of traffic and then choosing not to run ads on it. You just wouldn't.
I have respect for him, he has come up with a load of tech, Tesla is combating green house gasses and has 0% emissions, Star Link brings access to the internet to the most remote places on the planet, Lets not forget what he did for Ukraine during the war. I generally think he is a good guy, he doesn't have a big mansion, he doesn't flaunt his wealth and he works his ass off.

I am not jealous of him tbh. I just think he is a rich snakeoil seller. I don’t want to be a snakeoil seller so it is ok.
He is an outlier, a one in a billion person so based on how much attention he gets he is bound to create polarised opinions and I guess the trolls are always more vocal than the people who just have respect for Elon.
