I dont understand why people with all this traffic send to cpa programs that seem to constantly give them problems.
From not accepting them, to sometimes not even paying them because of where they say the traffic comes from.

Why wouldn't you just go to a single source and deal with that company directly?

I know programs that gladly accept any accept any and all traffic and always pay and treat people right

But these cpa programs act like they are doing you a favor letting u work with them, I dont understand why anyone would take that when there's better options.

    Its just always baffled me

The CPA networks are a medium between the advertiser and the publisher. They act as a buffer connecting the two together.

They take care of the traffic for the advertiser in most cases using there tools to check for flase leads etc.

If the advertiser can do all this themselves and have an affiliate backend etc then there is really no need for the CPA network.

The only thing is the networks have a large list of publishers which is what the advertiser is looking for, so then for this reason alone they have to go through the networks to gain publishers unless they promote their own affiliate program heavely they would not get enough numbers.

For the advertiser its sort of the same they need to find campaigns they can promote and unless they know a company directly it would be difficult to find any thing decent they can promote.

Maybe there should be a site which is sort of like a CPA network but it display publicly all companies that have an affiliate program and just charge them like a really small advertising cost per month to promote their programs. The advertising amount should be really low like just a subscription fee really and the site should get a good amount of traffic.

It also makes it alot easier for the advertiser to only deal with a few people (CPA Netowkrs) instead of the potentially thousands of people that would be promoting their offers

^^ yep, having the infrastructure to deal with leads/traffic/sales/comms directly is what most advertisers and publishers don't have -- that's why you need a third party.

Also if you had to go find and build a relationship with a different retailer every time you started a site it would be a nightmare!

I mainly go to the advertiser directly.

less hassle... less bs about where the traffic comes from.... more money.

The some networks act like GODS.... and they can be if you let them.

For new people... networks is the way to go.
try all your crazy shit on that... and when you learn how to do it right....
    go to the advertiser directly....

If you can deliver quality leads in volume, then always best to strike a deal with the advertiser. That way you can get a better %age (commission).

For some it's a matter of being able to get more security from a cpa network. Some advertisers are quick to steal from an affiliate not sending $10k worth of sales a week. But yet are much less likely to screw over a cpa network sending them a large amount of sales a week. For example Hugo from xxxlmoney and how many other sites he has, he will call the avg person a fraud in a heartbeat but work through a cpa network and you can get paid and not have to deal with him and his mental problems.

Same reason why you would buy from a department store instead of going directly to the manufacturers.

this makes sense to me. i've done direct affiliate marketing in the past and it's worked out well. i'm going with the cpa networks now to see how it works out for twitter traffic however i suspect i'll end up going direct in the long run

not sure how accurate this is but it seems like the cpa networks act as traffic cops. if you go direct most of these companies don't have the time to care too much about the source of the traffic. the most they'll probably care about is the conversion rates of the leads they're paying for

if you find a product or service you want to offer you can typically visit their website and search the page for 'affiliate'

you can also toss the name or even the basic genre of what you want to promote along with the 'affiliate' keyword into the googs and get a full list of links to the companies' affiliate program sign up pages
