I dont get it.. Dont you want targeted traffic and not a bunch of fake, inactive accounts? I'm coming from Instagram so maybe it's a bit different on Facebook.

Maybe some people just want a high number of likes to show up on their profiles/pages.
True that targeted traffic is definitely the better choice of the two but the fake likes can give your page or whatever a fancy big number and make it look like an authority page.
    Hope that made sense. xD

Probably just a brand value, it looks good.
Of course, it would be smarter to invest in real likes but... Their choice!

Well, I believe that under certain circumstances it is a very smart decision to buy likes/followers, since it significantly boosts the credibility of your account and/or brand.

I know this from my personal experience. The approach of the new (real) followers is very different anf the followback % can increase massively.

a higher number of likes gives your page more social proof and makes it look more legit. It's kinda weird when a fanpage has 100 posts but only 4 or 5 likes

People follow followers, when you have a new page or account nobody wants to be first, so owners seed accounts and gradually real ones come in as they deem it to be valuable

I agree, fake likes are useless and damaging to the page in the long term. Use Facebook ads or don't even bother. That's my view.

I have in the past created fake social accounts that engage my main page to increase engagement. Never got caught when I setup properly, only got caught when I was starting out and the accounts looked like bots that spammed.
