    Hey BHW,

So I've noticed that threads that I follow stop giving me notifications after I follow them. For instance, BlackHatWorld says I'm following BassTrackerBoats' Facebook thread, and Cyrogenesis's Instagram thread, but I don't get new notifications whenever somebody comments. I did get notifications from both at first, but now I don't.

Is this a glitch, and if it isn't, is there any way to keep getting notifications from threads that I follow?

This is based entirely on observation, but if you subscribe to a thread, it stops giving you a notification about when someone replies once the thread reaches the next page unless someone quotes one of your posts in that thread. In the event that someone does quote your post (even if it's on a different page), you'll start receiving notifications for that thread again until it reaches a new page.

You should always receive a notification when someone quotes your post, mentions you, or likes your post; although in the case of the latter, if multiple people like your post around the same time (+/- 1 minute), you'll only receive a notification about the first user who likes it.

I'm not entirely sure why it's like that, but I'm guessing it's a feature to prevent someone from getting notifications that do not pertain to them (e.g., marketplace threads).

I've also noticed that if you view the thread again, to the most recent page, you'll start receiving notifications again.

You don't know of a way this could be switched on and off, do you? I hate the idea of finding a good, active journey and following, it only to assume that OP left and hasn't posted because BHW only gave me 1 notification.

Good job as moderator so far, by the way. From what I've seen, you're doing excellent.

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

    Thanks for the compliment. :)

As far as I know, there aren't any settings that would allow you to receive non-stop alerts on a thread (assuming this issue isn't a glitch in the system). However, what I usually do when I find an interesting thread is put it in a bookmarks folder filled with other BHW threads and check it later.

I think if you've enabled the email alert settings, they should send you alerts regardless of the page you posted on, though I haven't had a chance to look this over.
