IE a Christian dating site-- Email only... why?????

Why would they prohibit search SEO or search PPC?

    Doesn't make sense to me.

The CPA's are not the ones doing it (they just enforce it), its the advertisers... and it could be for a number of reasons, perhaps a specific type of promotion is creating too many worthless leads or maybe the advertiser has their own search PPC campaigns and don't want more competition especially if they are paying the competition

advertisers are very picky when it comes to email submits. they are looking for very specific leads and not just any old joe that claims to be a christian lol

    Thanks :)

But email only? I don't see what that would prevent... I mean, I could email a bunch of random lists--- and likewise I could buy banner space on Christian websites

Sometimes they have the same offer but they have different payouts for different methods of promotion. So for offer X for email promotion the payout is $2.00, but for offer Y the promotional method is search only but he payout is $3.00, even though offer X and Y are the same. Don't know if that made sense. Well, try searching your network. You might find the same offer but different promotional method.

The reason is the conversion .

You generate leads but those leads have to bring sales for the advertisers.
    Various methods bring different success/lead.

So they limit you to specific methods and depending on the average success they set the price per lead and method.
Same reason counts for incencitive traffic, you might be ablre to generate more leads but those people want somehing in return. They won't generate much sales because they have no real interest in the primary offer of the advertiser.

Yup.... it's usually because they dont want competition.

THey usually have found that they know which keywords/methods are working and want to use those exclusively so as to not pay affiliates.

Seriously, this thread was dated in 2009... today is 2016. I think you are about 5 years late in replying to this thread.
