Why do bots cause the computers running them to crash at times? Is there any way to prevent this? Thanks.

Some bots have high RAM/CPU requirements.

If you run more threads on the bot than your PC can handle, it will get very slow, and even crash.

Also you should also know that bots that use http requests are more lightweight than bots that use web browsers.

When people run bots, they should know the specs of their PC or VPS and know how much it can handle, some don't and run more than their PC or VPS can handle.

Or the program hasn't been coded properly and there's memory leaks.

    Try disabling you antivirus.
I had the same problem, but when I disabled my nod32 it never crashed again.

The bot could be shittly designed. It may not be compatible with your specific computer. You may not have the enough RAM or Processing power to run those bots. You might have a virus. There are a lot of possible reasons
