    Hey,

Im fairly new to SEO, so sorry if this is a noob question. Basically when i search on google for adult content and check the sites the PA/DA is always damn low. How does that come?
Does the adult content lower the PA/DA?

    Thanks in advance

    kind regards

The DA/PA is so low bc you and everyone else searching for and looking at adult sites touch yourselves at night.

G doesn't like anyone participating in self-satisfaction except them.

The thing is that no one wants to link to adult sites, that's why the numbers are pretty low and not because of content. By the way, what is low in your point of view?

My opinion about this : To get high PA, DA you have to link from the high authority site.

High authority sites are boycotting the links to adult site.

If you want to increase your site authority then, try to make links from high authority sites like xvideos... which is having neraly 70+ PA,DA.

There is nothing to worry for getting Domain Authority and Page Authority .

Add the regular unique content related to dating/adult content.. and also get backlinks from high authority niche based sites

Its a good question. The reason is because many adult sites tend to link spam sites outside their niche (don't ask me why they do it). For those that focus just on building links to adult sites they have decent DA/PA/TF/CF

That's right, I have seen that myself that a few adult sites actually fades away.

Sure, i'm in adult NL/BE for about ten years now and it just is so that 95% of those websites last even less than their domain expire dates...

    Like a DA/PA of 18-24

Why does that happen? Not earning enough?
    _

And why do porn sites like youporn, xhamster etc. are not in the Google searches? Do they get removed manually by google?

"not earning enough" is not really a criteria, they are usually created by those who are not even involved in the business or they are frequent contributor to populate the videos.

Websites that you have named do appear on google if your age is above 18 or 21 as per your google profile and you have made specific keyword search.

I'm not sure why you see so low numbers, check more sites :) most large sites have high authority etc.
The thing is that google now values adult sites way less, I remember in the past you could rank an adult site even for mainstream keywords, but those days are gone..

But then(before 2008) you could rank for any keyword without SEO and if your site is among newest.

I guess that is one of the main reasons. A lot of beginning webmasters start out with adult websites because they think they will get rich 'cause they're doing porn stuff.

After several months they, except for some exceptions, have earned not even enough to payback their hosting and their motivation sinks... result --> website goes offline or they just let it expire.

All those saying that adult is easy money should stop, because it isn't.

Indeed, it sounds like a lure to me, when they say "adult sites are easy money".

Not that long ago :) I'm talking like about 2010 or so, and then google announced some kind of algo update targeted against adult sites. I don't remember the name of that update.

PA/DA is a third party metric and they may not be very friendly with adult/gambling sites and may not account for all of their links.

Adult started to go downhill when tubes was born, these sites gained popularity fast and this was the beginning of the end because why pay if you can watch everything for free, people loved them so did google, so membership revenues suffered a drastic drop and the only survivors are those who changed the promo model. Affiliate model in adult is dying.

Correct, most people just find one porn site and then sticks to it, they are afraid of handling the ad spam that comes right after you have opened a porn website URL.

Furthermore, its not like that we need to watch more and more porn, because half of us are probably living with some other person in real life, thus porn sites cannot be always accessed, rather occasionally.

Although if you have some other addiction like gaming (like any MMORPG) you will probably invite others to play it as well.
