For all those people that got screwed by the last google update, why do you suppose you were affected? Did you have too many low quality backlinks pointing directly to your money sites? Was anyone using any link pushes or link wheels that got hit?

You know wots great from Panda? All the shit & crappy sites have removed (most of my sites were also kinda crappy that got hit most), but gives me a bigger window of opportunity now. Also after Panda, I lost about 90% of income but past month I am climbing again, now making about the same as before Panda, but I think this was the best thing to happen in SEO - I love Panda!

    Quality, not Quantity!

With regards to the sites that lost ranking in google, were you using any link pushes or link wheels or were you using direct backlinks? Were you using xrumer or scrapebox?

I lost half of my income. Thank God my main site still stands, but all others are destroyed.

I had 100% unique content on all sites. All around 700 words articles. (it is told that panda loves unique and long content -> crap!)

However, the only links I built were the ones created with AMR. No variety at all.

About link pushing, all were shallow 1 tier links from crappy article directories.

I'm trying to find ways of getting authority backlinks but seems hard to accomplish

You may want to use the other 4 free linkpushes I gave you to try our service before making a decision as to whether it is good or bad and looking at that free account I gave you I see several tiers of articles.

I had 98% unique content (only some of the formatics of my sites left a footprint) and still got slammed by the first one - have *mostly* come back now. I think most of my problem was my network linking structure, particularly footer links. When I got rid of the footer links, 50% of my problem was literally over within days.

The main problem with Panda is that people are still trying to draw specific, definitive and often wrong conclusions.

My #1 money site was screwed by Panda 1; a combination of work, patience and prayer brought it back, at least for now.
But the site that replaced it was a list of urls. Not a link list, not a directory, just an inside page of an authority site. The page was:

    site 1
    site 2
    site 3
    site 4
    site 5
all the way to site 1548.
No other text. Nothing was cloaked. Almost no backlinks to this page.
In other words, a crappy site.

You can talk about unique content and all the other stuff you want - but this was just an aberration. G apparently fixed whatever it was that was putting this site #1. But I'm sure lots of people here can tell you of lots more examples, of crappy sites that moved up in Panda. I know I can.

Analysis and trial/error is fine. Making declarations that "Wearing red shirts and crossing your legs when you're lying in bed was what Panda found, and that's what caused your SERPs to decline" doesn't get anyone anywhere, and it's just plain wrong.

When Panda hit I completely lost the rankings for one of my sites. I tried to wait it out but after several months it was pretty clear that I was going to have to take some corrective action. I read about the success some were having on another discussion board by lowering their keyword density so I lowered the KW density to less than 2% on all my posts and also dropped a bunch of tags. Next day, all of my rankings were restored.

Not exactly true. There are one page landers in the #1 and #2 position of G for my keywords that the last 4 panda updates didnt affect. So those have not moved in months.

Makes me think that some time and effort should be put into a good link wheel campaign and focus on pointing all AMR/scrapebox/xrumer links at the wheels and pushes and leave the high quality niche specific, .edu, .gov and high pagerank links directly to the money sites..

The only site I lost rankings for was one of my very first.

I made subdomains on it with different topics (i.e. topic.genericdomain.com ).

In June it went from getting a few hundred visitors a day down to about 5-10 losing basically all it's rankings.

The backlinking is the same as other sites but I think it being structured as it was on subdomains made it lose rankings.

The Panda Update is not so much about backlinks. It's more about social factors and integrating them into the ranking algorithms that Google already has in place.

Google is starting to place more weight on social factors when it comes to ranking websites. And when I say social factors, I don't just mean using social platforms like Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Yes, those are important, but there is a lot more involved. I just made a quick Panda post, so if you want to check it out, here's the link:

As I told you in the PM,

I've got hit by panda cause I built only 1 tier shallow links to my site. And now most of the rankings are gone.

As OP asks if I have done any linkpushing (prior to ranking decrease)
    NO, I didnt.

I learned about linkpushing AFTER my sites got hit by Panda. And you've offered me trial/free services to test linkpushing. So I have NOT applied linkpushing PRIOR to your services.

I have no idea if linkpushing works as for now. I used only one of the 5 free linkpushes, cause I wanted to see what a single unit can do (for cost calculations).

I hope I made it clear this time.

    Regards,
